I don’t know about you, but it feels like AI is everywhere.
Every post, podcast episode, and platform has something on it about how you can use AI to make things faster, easier…better?
Listen, I’ll be the first to say, AI can be a lifesaver. I use it. Our team uses it. It helps automate tasks, organize meeting notes, and get ideas flowing when you’re staring at a blank page.
Where I see the nuance is how we choose to use it.
To me, AI is a tool. It can help you “build the set,” organizing all the behind-the-scenes details so everything on stage runs smoothly.
But it’s not standing in as the lead in your main stage performance.
The same goes for personal branding. A personal brand is built on trust, authenticity, and human connection. Not output.
That connection people feel with YOU is something AI can not replicate. AI can’t tell your stories, share your perspectives, or speak your truth.
Only you can do that.
This conversation has started showing up a lot lately around AI-generated photos and visuals, so let’s talk about that for a minute.
For some businesses, AI visuals are a great solution. Fast. Efficient. Functional.
But for founders building personal brands rooted in trust, credibility, and connection, the question isn’t: “Can AI create this image?”
It’s:
- “Why do people choose me?”
- “What do people expect from me when they hire me?”
Here’s how I see it:
If your clients buy YOU: your perspective, your presence, your lived experience, AI could support your brand, but definitely not stand in for you.
If your clients just need content and don’t engage with you beyond the screen, AI-generated visuals might be a perfectly fine fit.
The only mistake is choosing AI photos without being clear on who you’re building trust with or the impact of the tools you’re choosing to scale.

Today, I want to change the narrative on AI.
Instead of using AI to do more or be more efficient, what if we used it to create space for more connection with ourselves and our people?
Maybe it’s replacing 15 minutes of note-taking with a daily mindfulness practice? Or an extra 30 minutes for coffee with a friend? Or an hour of busy work turned into an hour of family time at the end of the day.
AI is here to stay, so let’s use it to support our lives, not replace the parts of us that make us and our brands unique, beautiful, and truly human.
