I’ve been settling into a new season in my business.
Not new in the sense of new clients or offers or revenue goals.
Instead, it’s showing up behind the scenes in my slower mornings, consistent skincare routines, time to cook my favorite family dinners, and, overall, just more space for my life.
But this didn’t just happen.
I made a decision. Then I made a plan. And most importantly, I followed through, even when I felt uncomfortable.
I gave myself permission to build something sustainable. Not just on paper, but in real life.
It wasn’t instant. It took time to untangle from old patterns that looked productive but were actually depleting.
For the longest time, my Google Calendar ran my life. I was doing all the right things. Booking out the studio, hosting client calls, blocking focused work time, even scheduling time to “relax”.
Sure, it was working on the outside. But inside, I was in a constant state of fight-or-flight mode.
So I started asking different questions.
Not “What should I be doing right now?”
But “What do I need right now?”
This challenged me. It challenged my patience. My discipline. My connection with what I needed vs. what my business needed.
But that rewiring process. That’s freedom.
I was making decisions from a place of inner knowing, not obligation. And I was finally building a business that took care of me, too.
That’s my challenge for you today.
- What do YOU need right now?
- What would feel nourishing instead of just productive?
- Where in your business are you pushing through when your body is asking you to pause?
You don’t have to have all the answers today.
But I challenge you to take an honest moment for yourself and see what comes up. You may surprise yourself.
Here’s to building a business from the inside out.
